7 Carcinogenic Foods To Avoid

Most of us think if we avoid smoking, harmful chemical agents, and heavy pollution, we have successfully avoided exposure to carcinogens and thus reduced our chances of developing cancer. 1. Non-Organic Produce

2. Genetically Modified Produce

Most GMOs were designed specifically for pesticide and herbicide tolerance. So genetically modified produce is never organic and always contains residual agricultural chemicals. These chemicals are extremely carcinogenic and have been linked to cancer.

3. Processed Meats

Processed meats like lunchmeats, bacon, and hot dogs contain both sodium nitrite and sodium nitrate. Both of these preservative chemicals have been linked to colon, stomach, and brain cancer.

4. Processed Carbohydrates

Highly processed carbohydrates like white flour, refined sugar, and heavy starches. Processed carbohydrates have a very high glycemic index and a generally processed with heavy carcinogenic chemicals like bleaching agents, both of which are linked to a high risk of cancer.

5. Packaged Foods

Canned and bottled foods are lined with bisphenol-A (BPA). BPA is a synthetic chemical that mimics the hormone estrogen. BPAs have been linked to both breast and prostate cancer.

6. Hydrogenated Oils

Hydrogenated oils, more commonly known as trans fats, are vegetable oils that have been chemically extracted. This processing method produces chemical byproducts that are carcinogenic. Consuming hydrogenated oils has been linked to numerous chronic illnesses including cancer.

7. Carbonated Beverages

Carbonated beverages like sodas are loaded with carcinogenic ingredients from refined sugars to chemical dyes to artificial flavors. There are numerous studies on the dangers of these ingredients on the health of consumers. So it is best we avoid any of these drinks.
